Why We Built This Site
Mississippi gives the public broad access to court records. The hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. The Circuit Clerk is the clerk of the Circuit, County, and Youth Courts and keeps marriage records, judgments, and process. The Chancery Clerk holds divorce, child custody and support, probate, guardianship, conservatorship, mental health, adoption, and land-equity files, and records deeds and other land instruments. The Sheriff manages the jail roster and active warrants. Add the Mississippi Department of Public Safety and the Mississippi State Department of Health, and the picture gets crowded fast. Bolivar County also splits this work across a First Judicial District in Rosedale and a Second Judicial District in Cleveland, so the same record type can sit in two different courthouses. We pull together the contact details, search portals, fee schedules, and request steps for each of these offices into one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
